  • Unite — We started Unite because we saw a problem. Two problems, in fact. A problem faced by marketplace sellers like you, who see high- quality traffic on your pages but have no way of retargeting shoppers who don’t end up purchasing, leaving potential sales on the table. And a problem faced by the marketplaces where you sell, which win by helping youdrive sales but aren’t equipped to offer you the sorts of online advertising tools like retargeting pixels, audience creation, and campaign management platforms that big brands have been using for years. That’s where we come in. Understanding these constraints and sharing the frustration faced by both sellers and marketplaces over lost revenue and lost customers, we created the perfect platform to put the industry’s most powerful advertising technology capabilities in the hands of people like you, building them into the marketplaces where you already sell. The result? Higher traffic and higher conversion rates. In other words, higher sales.Today, thousands of sellers across the Internet are using Unite to advertise like a big brand and drive sales. It’s time to join them.

  • Pick1 — While whoever doing polls/surveys focus on how to create the questions, Pick1 focuses on how to leverage the answers: social insights crunched to deliver actionable data.A Brand using Pick1 gets an highly customizable, flexible and integrated solution that connects seamlessly with third party technologies (SalesForce, MailChimp, Lithium),enabling the brand to process this information in an automated way: a "survey/marketing intelligence suite".The result of this is that: a) the Brand doesn't need to go through the pain of integrating a polling tool into its own properties, because Pick1 is taking care of that via API, b) any other solution would be not providing any kind of context data anyway, which Pick1 instead provides. The Brand can then leverage this further layer of data to create clusters of users, matching them with a more specific content/advertising to generate higher engagement and conversion.

Shaun White
Angel · Los Angeles, California, United States · 2 investments in United States Hospitality startups

Born in San Diego, California in 1986, Shaun Roger White endured two major surgeries to correct a heart defect before he was 1 years old. Despite this challenging start Shaun proved he was far from frail, charging into sports like surfing, soccer and snowboarding at a young age. Shaun grew up in a family of five and one of the family'sfavorite pastimes included skiing. At the age of 4, Shaun proved to be fearless on his skis racing down the slopes with older brother Jesse. In an attempt to slow down Shaun when he was 6, his mom decided to put him on a snowboard and instructed him to copy everything Jesse did. Unfortunately for her, it only encouraged Shaun to go faster. While Shaun was being lauded as a snowboard prodigy, in the summertime he was simultaneously turning heads on the skateboard scene. Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk befriended the 9-year-old at a skate park and mentored the up-and-comer, encouraging Shaun and helping him turn pro at the age of 17. Participating in both sports was far from usual, but for Shaun this duality helped excel his progression.
