Sami Inkinen is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Virta Health, a specialty medical clinic that reverses type 2 diabetes safely and sustainably, without the risks, costs, or side effects of medications or surgery. Previously, Mr. Inkinen was the co-founder of the leading online real estate marketplace Trulia, serving as its COO andpresident and board member until its IPO and eventual sale to Zillow Group. He also worked on Microsoft’s strategy team for MS Office, and as a consultant for McKinsey & Company within the software, telecommunications, and government sectors. A physicist by training, Mr. Inkinen started his career as a radiochemist at a nuclear power plant and holds a Master of Science in engineering physics from the Helsinki University of Technology. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. He thinks his greatest luxury today is a small vegetable garden at his San Francisco Bay area home.

Michael “Monty” Widenius is the “spiritual father” of MariaDB, a renowned advocate for the open source software movement and one of the original developers of MySQL, the predecessor to MariaDB. He was a founder at SkySQL,and the CTO of MySQL AB until its sale to Sun Microsystems (now Oracle). Monty was also the founder of TCX DataKonsult AB, a Swedish data warehousing company. He is the co-author of the MySQL Reference Manual and was awarded the Finnish Software Entrepreneur of the Year prize in 2003. In 2015, Monty was selected as one of the 100 most influential persons in the Finnish IT market. Monty studied at the Helsinki University of Technology and lives in Finland.
