ZAKA is often the first to appear on the scene, providing on-site emergency treatment and crisis intervention. Among their additional duties are identifying disaster and terrorism victims, interacting and assisting on-the-ground ambulance crews and medical staff, and community outreach. Mivtach Shamir is happy to have been able to donate a special ambulance to ZAKA. The ambulance was donated in 2015 to the Petah Tikva ZAKA team. It is specially equipped to meet the unique needs of the ZAKA team.
