As a "one-stop shop" offering a diversified and targeted programme portfolio, the FFG gives Austrian businesses and research facilities quick and uncomplicated access to research funding.The FFG was foundedon 1 September 2004 (pursuant to the FFG Act on establishing a research promotion agency, Federal Law Gazette I No. 73/2004). The FFG is wholly owned by the Republic of Austria, represented by the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) and the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW). As a provider of funding services, however, the FFG also works for other national and international institutions.

GoStudent — GoStudent is a platform for online teaching and is the future of tutoring. The EdTech company was founded in Vienna in 2016 by Felix Ohswald (CEO) and Gregor Müller (COO). Currently, GoStudent is operational in 15 markets. Via its platform, GoStudent provides paid, one-to-one, video-based tuition to primary, secondary, and college-aged students in20+ subjects, using a membership model. Currently, GoStudent has around 15,000 customers and works with 5,500 international tutors. To date, GoStudent has raised more than €291m.
