Barry is also the Centre Director of the Mobile Services Technology Gateway (MSTG), a close to market mobile applications and platforms R&D initiative supported by Enterprise Ireland. MSTG delivers advanced mobile technologies and solutions to Enterprise Ireland and IDA clients. Barry brings considerable technical and entrepreneurial experience to these roles having previously founded FeedHenry a leading cloud based mobile applications platform based in Waterford, Ireland and Boston, MA, that was acquired by Red Hat Inc. (NYSE: RHT) in October 2014 for $82 million.Barry holds a BSc. in Applied Computing from the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) and a M.B.A. from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin (UCD). Barry also holds executive education qualifications from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA and Henley Business School in the UK.Barry’s current research and entrepreneurial interests are in creating new start-ups in mobile (www.fuseami.com), Internet of Things (IoT) and Virtual Reality industries.
