Professor Schütte studied economics and business administration in Germany and obtained his doctorate from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland. He was visiting professor at the University of Tokyo, a visiting professor at Boston University, and visiting scholar at Harvard University.Up to the fall of 2006, Professor Schütte was the Dean of INSEAD's fast growing Asia Campus located in Singapore.
