Vasco de Mello is Chairman and CEO of BRISA – AUTO-ESTRADAS DE PORTUGAL, S.A. A manager by training, with a bachelor’s degree from the American College of Switzerland (1978), and the attendance of the “Training Program” at Citicorp, in New York, and Banco Crefisul de Investimentos, in S. Paulo, Brazil (1978-1979), Vasco de Mello has held numerousexecutive positions in companies of the José de Mello Group (1980-1991) and was Chairman of Banco Mello and Companhia de Seguros Império (1992-2000).

A reference in the Venture Capital community, as CEO of Espírito Santo Ventures, Joaquim challenges the strategy and oversees the globality of our entire portfolio while remaining personally involved in many of the companies we invest in, and his door is always open to advise the team on all of them.
