From 1983 to 1995 he was Assistant Professor at IST and Research Project Leader of INESC. From 1997 to 2000 he was the General Manager of the Direct Channels Department of BES. A reference in the Venture Capital community, as CEO of Espírito Santo Ventures, Joaquim challenges the strategy and oversees the globality of our entire portfolio while remaining personally involved in many of the companies we invest in, and his door is always open to advise the team on all of them.
