Diego Berdakin the founder of several consumer internet companies including BeachMint, the Santa Monica based social commerce company he co-founded in July 2010 with Josh Berman. Beachmint was backed by New Enterprise Associates, Trinity Ventures, Accel, Anthem, Scale & Goldman Sachs. Conde Nast acquired majority ownership of Beachmint in thesummer of 2014. Diego was also a founding partner at FabFitFun, a women’s media an ecommerce company, Re/Done a vertical ecommerce company, iEscrow an online payment processor and escrow company, and Weaving Capital.Prior to this, Diego was the Executive Vice President and co-head of News Corporation’s Slingshot Labs — which was the digital R&D arm of Newscorp. In this role, Diego was co-head of the incubator responsible for product, strategy and marketing. During his tenure at Newscorp he built standalone companies for MySpace, Fox and the Wall Street Journal.He is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California where he has been teaching since 2012.
