Mr. Horwitz was Executive Vice President of Western Wireless Corporation from March 2000 until August 1, 2005, and was President of Western Wireless International beginning in 1995. Mr. Horwitz led the company’s expansion into 11 international markets with operations in Latvia, the Republic of Georgia, Croatia, Slovenia, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Bolivia, Haiti, Iceland, Ireland, and Austria.Mr. Horwitz serves on the board of the Center for Global Development and the Mobile Giving Foundation, which created the “text to give” technology that was instrumental in raising over $40 million after the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
