Wei Hopeman is a seed investor at Arbor Ventures in Shanghai focused on Banking and Financial Services. Wei is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Arbor Ventures, Asia's largest FinTech focused venture fund. Prior to Arbor Ventures, Wei was Managing Director and Head of Asia for Citi Ventures, Citigroup's strategic venture investing and innovation arm. She established the group in Asia to invest in financial technologies, payments,digital commerce, big data and security/authentication technologies. Her team also incubated new technology and business models at Citi to accelerate disruption from within.Wei brings with her a unique set of experience and perspective in finance, entrepreneurship and technology spanning the Silicon Valley, China and Asia. Prior to joining Citi, she managed the China private equity practice at Winnington Capital. She also established the China office for Jefferies & Company and was a technology investment banker in the Silicon Valley with Jefferies and Goldman Sachs. Wei has a BA in International Relations from Pomona College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She serves on the board of AngelVest, the largest angel investment group in Greater China. She is also the Vice Chairman of Women in Leadership in China.
