Shanti Mohan is an angel investor and the Co-founder & CEO of LetsVenture, an online platform enabling angel investment in early-stage startups that has facilitated more than 900 investments with a portfolio value of over $8 billion. She is also the CEO of trica, an equity-management and transaction platform, and part of LetsVenture.Headquartered in Bangalore, Shanti felt the need to connect startup founders and promising angel investors early when most people saw little possibility of sealing deals online. Almost a decade later today, LetsVenture has facilitated more than 900 investments and manages a portfolio of over $8 billion so far, backed by Accel and Chiratae Ventures as well as industry luminaries like Ratan Tata, Rishad Premji, Nandan Nilekani, Mohandas Pai, Sharad Sharma, and Anupam Mittal.As the platform grew over the years, Shanti’s vision to simplify and make private market investments more transparent and accessible continues to be the driving force. This larger goal has led LetsVenture to deliver timely products and features, including the technology platform for equity management and growth stage investments trica and cap table & ESOP management tool trica Equity.Other notable initiatives include the launch of Scalix, a Founder OS product to make starting up easy.As an angel investor with core expertise in consumer internet, embedded technology, and enterprise, Shanti recently launched Propell micro fund. She has invested in more than 40 startups, including Trell, Jar, Siply, Spottabl, Junio, Pariksha, GoBillion, Goat brands, Giva, and Bimaplan, among others. Shanti is the Nominated Committee Member, the Alternative Investment Policy Advisory Committee (AIPAC) of SEBI. She is also a Member of the Karnataka Vision Board for Startups.She is the founding venture partner for RBF Fund N+1 Capital, and LP Advisory Board at Pioneer Fund.Passionate about trekking, Shanti has recently launched Pragati, an initiative to help and support villages in the Himalayan region.
