In 1984 he co-founded TVM (Munich/Boston), one of Germany's first privately held VC firms.His entrepreneurial initiatives include the foundation of the LMU Entrepreneurship Centre at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, the largest university in Germany. The main objective of this organisation is to familiarise students and scientists with the concepts of self-employment and entrepreneurship.From April 2007 to April 2009 Rolf was Chairman of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK). He holds a law degree from the LMU Munich and has been a member of the Munich Bar since 1974. Rolf is married since 1976 and has five children.
