Mr. Ahlstrom serves on the Technical Advisory Board at Westminster College's business school and Dougway Proving Ground's Test and Evaluation Initiative. He served as a Director of Public Engines, Senforce Technologies, Ancestry.com and S5 Wireless. He serves on the Executive Committee of the University of Utah’s Technology Commercialization Advisory Board. Mr. Ahlstrom is listed as a Founding Member of the BYU Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. He served as a Director of The American Academy. He served as a Trustee for the Utah Technology Council and other community boards and has also served multiple years as a Member of Motorola Corporation’s Visionary Research Board. Mr. Ahlstrom is a regular speaker and supporter of the Rocky Mountain, New Mexico and Utah's entrepreneurial communities. He holds an Honorary Degree from the Netanya Academic College in Israel for his work of promoting peace. Mr. Ahlstrom received a B.A. in Communications from the Brigham Young University.
