Kate has traveled to national and international clinical sites and assisted with a GLP animal study. One of Kate's last projects involved leading a 15-person multi-disciplinary project team to bring a new product from concept to commercial use and to develop a simulated bench model of a layered arterial wall. Prior to Pathway Medical, Kate completed her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering as part of the inaugural class at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering (Needham, MA). As a senior capstone project at Olin College Kate worked with a team of engineers to develop a point-of-care diagnostic device for tuberculosis. Her team's success in creating a working prototype led to the award of a grant by the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance. Kate is passionate about sports and spends her free time running and playing soccer, flag football and volleyball.
