Dovi Frances is an Israeli-American venture capitalist and the Founding Partner of Group 11, a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm dedicated to supporting disruptive Israeli-related software companies from their inception through their global expansion.Over the course of his career, Frances has strategically invested over $600 million insoftware companies that have gone on to become some of Silicon Valley's most innovative and disruptive financial technology software platforms, including Tipalti, Navan (fka TripActions), Next Insurance, Sunbit, HomeLight, and Masterschool, to name a few.Frances is the youngest member to ever be elected to the Board of Governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and serves on the Steering Committee of the Israel Collaboration Network (ICON).Prior to launching Group 11 in 2012, Frances spent nearly a decade in the financial services industry. He launched and managed an independent financial advisory firm, and also served as Vice President at Deutsche Bank AG Private Bank (NYSE: DB).He currently serves on the boards of Tipalti, HomeLight, Sunbit, Masterschool, EquityBee, Lili, Venn, Sorbet, BridgeWise, and Healthee. He is also an Advisor to Navan (fka TripActions).Frances earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and went on to earn his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.Frances was born in Holon, Israel in 1978. He moved to California in 2006 and currently resides in Brentwood, Los Angeles with his wife Roni Eshel, Israel’s former surf champion, and two children.
