He moved to London in 1993 to lead technology in support of the firm’s expansion into new markets across Europe and Asia, and returned to New York in 1996 to take responsibility for the build-out of its early electronic trading platform. He later assumed additional responsibility for Equities Technology before becoming co-chief operating officer of the Technology Division in 2004. He was named co-chief information officer of the firm in 2007 and became chief information officer in 2011. Scopellite is a member of the National Board of Directors for Computers for Youth and has served as a special advisor to the National Society of Black Engineers.
