He also serves as the chairman of Digma Trading and Edita Confectionary Industries, is a shareholder in and a member of the board of directors of Le Pacha 1901, a shareholder in and a member of the board of Mirage Hotels S.A.E., the company that owns the JW Marriott at Mirage City, and a shareholder in and a member of the board of Sakkara Tourism Investment S.A.E., the company that owns the Mirage City complex in New Cairo. He earned a BA in Commerce in 1982 from Cairo University (Cairo, Egypt).
