Samir Nabih Aziz Berzi is a startup investor. Mr. Berzi began his career by joining Tasty Foods Egypt, and he now has 38 years of expertise in the food and beverage sector. Mr. Berzi established Berzi Confectionary in 1986; Tasty Foods Egypt later bought the business. Once Tasty Foods Egypt sold a portion of its shares to PepsiCo, he went on to hold the post of Industrial Operating VicePresident there. Also, Mr. Berzi has founded a variety of businesses, including Edita Food Industries and Digma Trade, a quick-moving distributor of consumer goods. In 1996, Mr. Berzi was elected to the Edita Food Industries Board of Directors. He also serves as the chairman of Digma Trading and Edita Confectionary Industries, is a shareholder in and a member of the board of directors of Le Pacha 1901, a shareholder in and a member of the board of Mirage Hotels S.A.E., the company that owns the JW Marriott at Mirage City, and a shareholder in and a member of the board of Sakkara Tourism Investment S.A.E., the company that owns the Mirage City complex in New Cairo. He earned a BA in Commerce in 1982 from Cairo University (Cairo, Egypt).
