VYNE Therapeutics is a clinical late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of serlopitant for the treatment of pruritus (itch) associated with dermatologic conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and prurigo nodularis. We are concurrently evaluating the use of serlopitant for refractory chroniccough, a cough that persists for greater than eight weeks despite treatment of any identified underlying cause. We believe that serlopitant, a highly selective small molecule inhibitor of the neurokinin 1 receptor (NK1-R) given as a once-daily, oral tablet, has the potential to significantly alleviate pruritus and refractory chronic cough symptoms. Pruritus is the primary patient complaint among atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and prurigo nodularis patients and represents a significant patient need. There are currently no therapies approved in the US that are primarily intended to reduce the pruritus associated with these conditions. We expect data from our ongoing Phase 2 clinical trial in pruritus associated with atopic dermatitis in the 2Q18 and from our ongoing Phase 2 clinical trials in pruritus associated with psoriasis and refractory chronic cough by late 2018 or early 2019. We plan to initiate two Phase 3 clinical trials in pruritus associated with prurigo nodularis in the 1H18, with results expected in the 1H20. | $50.5M / Series C / Jul 18, 2017 | |
