VC Fund
Milano, Italy
Rancilio Cube Sicaf is a VC fund in Milano focused on E-Commerce and Software. Cube is the family office founded by the Rancilio family in 2013, after the sale of the espresso machine company founded in 1927 by our grandfather Roberto. The Rancilio family managed its company for three generations, during the course of which it became a leading global espresso producer. After selling the family business, we created RancilioCube. Cube focuses on venture, growth and impact investments, and makes both direct and fund investments. With regard to direct investments, we invested in companies such as Lyft (made in 2015, we consider it as our "cornerstone" venture/growth investment), Sennder, N26, SpaceX, Airbnb, Wise, 23andme, Uber, Flexport, Deliveroo, SumUp, Capsule, Coursera, Lyst, Omaze, Prodigy Finance, Taboola, Applause, Reef, Rapyd, Logz.io, Tier, Toast, Bnext, Treedom, Casavo and many more. Cube also makes limited partner investments in international VC funds: examples include Pelion, Earlybird DE, Cherry Venture, Foundation Capital, Khosla, NEA, Lake Star, Hoxton Venture, Hetz, Glilot, Cavalry, Bessemer, Omega, Blue Lion, TCV, Firstmark, Seedcamp, Holtzbrinck, OWL, Better Tomorrow, Zetta, DST, Jackson Square Venture, GSquared, Speedinvest, Target GlobaI, Aspect Ventures, Oxford Science Innovation, Triodos Organic Growth and other funds. From 2022 we are a fully compliant investment company for professional investors. We got an embedded global network, with a particularly deep and wide set of relationships in the Us/European investment and corporate markets. Cube goes out of its way to open up its networks for the benefit of the companies and funds in which it has invested.

Bnext is a fintech platform headquartered in Madrid, Spain.Bnext is the first supermarket for financial products, it reflects a new way of banking that challenges traditional banking from its foundations. With Bnext users can do almost everything they do with a bank, without having to use a bank. It allows them to create their own currentaccount in a matter of minutes, with nearly all the functionalities of an account in a traditional entity. Additionally, users can include their external accounts and hence have all their financial information on a single platform, regardless of the provider. However, the real innovation in Bnext lies on its Marketplace. Here, users have access to a wide range of financial products from fintechs and banks. The offering suplliers are meticulously selected in order to best fit the client's needs. On the platform, the user can scan through all different products, purchase them and control his acquisitions, all without ever leaving the app. Instead of charging the customer endless commissions and trying to sell as many products as possible, Bnext has developed a model that allows to really collaborate with the fintechs and get the best available offers on the market. The fintech portfolio to date includes real estate investment firms, mutual fund investment, loans and crowdlending, microloans or crowdfunding. Bnext is progressively integrating the most leading products in the market to expand the offer and thus become the first bank without balance. | Series A / Oct 11, 2019 | |
