In 2003, Philippe joined Anglo-Dutch steel group Corus as Chief Executive Officer. Philippe was President of the European Confederation of Iron and Steel Industries (Eurofer) from 2006 to 2008. Philippe was appointed Chief Executive Officer of PSA Peugeot Citroën in June 2009, and left the group in June 2014. Philippe is Knight of the National Order of the Merit, Officer in the national Order of the Legion of Honour and Commander of the British Empire. Philippe also holds the following positions: Member of the Board of Directors of Saint-Gobain, Member of the Supervisory Board of AREVA SA, Chairman of Le Cercle de l’Industrie, Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development for the countries of ASEAN, Member of the Board of Directors of EDF. During the last five years, he also held the following positions: Chief Executive Officer of PSA Peugeot Citroën (from June 2009 to March 2014), Chairman of the Board of Peugeot Citroën Automobiles SA (from August 2009 to March 2014), Chairman of the Board of GEFCO SA (from April 2009 to December 2012), Member of the Board of Banque PSA Finance SA (from June 2009 to March 2014), Member of the Board of Faurecia SA from April 2009 to March 2014), Member of the Board of PCMA Holding BV (from June 2009 to April 2014), Member of the Board of BG group Plc (from May 2006 to February 2013).
