Later he headed the Resources Allocation and Securities Management Division.In March 2000 he was promoted to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Yaroslavl Bank of Sberbank.In September 2002 he was appointed Head of Sberbank’s Baikal Bank.In 2009 he was appointed Vice-President, Director of the Corporate Development Department of Sberbank of Russia.Since October 2009 he has served as Chairman of Moscow Bank of Sberbank.In March 2013 Maxim Poletaev became a Member of the Executive Board of Sberbank of Russia.In June 2013 he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board where he runs the Retail, Corporate, Territorial and Welfare Blocks of Sberbank.
