We sell to the local and export market and are building an international brand for Madagascar moringa products in the United States, Europe and Asia. Moringa Wave’s vision is to create a world where everyone has the resources and the knowledge to access good nutrition and its mission is to improve nutrition and increase farm income in Madagascar.Moringa Wave has established a network of growers scattered in different regions of Madagascar through a partnership with government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Currently the company has three production sites in the regions of Atsimo Andrefana, Diana, Menabe. Another production unit is based in Antananarivo for processing, packaging and storage. In Diego area we work with two associations each with 40 women to produce the moringa leaf. In Tulear we work through NGOs which have an established network of farmers to source the moringa seeds. Moringa Wave have set up a sustainable processing system which follows the circular economy and zero waste principles. Nothing is thrown away the paper packaging used in biodegradable and sourced locally. The chocolate is also sourced locally building another budding industry in Madagascar. The company’s growth in terms of sales has increased by over 150% since inception. This is a testament to the significance of the sector in contributing to the overall economic gain of the value chain players. The production volume is constantly growing to keep up with the demand. We are constantly developing new products to suit the market needs and have pioneered the moringa chocolate which no one was producing in Madagascar and in all Africa. | Seed / Dec 01, 2021 |
