Luke Sorenson is a Managing Director at Sorenson Capital Partners. Luke has had extensive experience in deal origination, due diligence, transaction processing, portfolio management, administrative operations, and portfolio and limited partner relationships. Luke has led or co-led numerous investments in this capacity for the firm and heads theaerospace and defense team, which has successfully invested in Atlas Aerospace, Vitron Manufacturing, LifePort, Aircraft Leasing Corp (“AL”), Custom Control Concepts (CCC), and Roberts Tool Company (RTC). He is actively involved in the firm’s portfolio, serving as Chairman at CCC and RTC, and as a director at Western States Lodging and Management. Luke is also an advocate for social investing and serves as a director at the Sorenson Impact Foundation, and serves on the investment committee of the University Venture Fund, a student-run venture fund affiliated with the University of Utah.Prior to Sorenson Capital, Luke served in a variety of industries and functions through the Sorenson Companies, including Sorenson Media (video compression software), Sorenson Communications (video relay services), and Sorenson Development (real estate development). Luke has also served as a director for Microject, a medical device company, and as an advisory board member for the University Venture Fund. Luke received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
