Prior to Citi Ventures, Luis founded and ran JPMorgan Chase's StrategicInvestments group for nearly 8 years and invested in 30+ companies, notably Square, Markit, Tradeweb, BATS/DirectEdge (acquired by Cboe Global Markets), Air Lease Corp, LME (acquired by HKEX), clearXchange (acquired by Early Warning and renamed Zelle), Solid Biosciences, Symphony Communications, and Avant. Previously Luis was a consultant at McKinsey and a principal at Softbank where he made venture investments in the Americas. Luis received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College.
