Build Block Inc. is an online real estate investment platform targeting Asian investors who wish to invest in US real estate. Founded in 2018, the company’s goal is to lower the entry barrier of individual investors who have no credible intermediary to facilitate overseas investment. We have found a problem with existing overseas investment whereindividuals are faced with cumbersome paperwork, no credible partner, and lack of transparency. Combined with the most up-to-date technology, we will select, monitor, and sell suitable properties that meet the preferences of our customers. The customers can seek our help for both short-term FLIP and ADU models or a long-term investment model. Our business model consists of a service fee (bigger value of $5,000 or 2% of total investment) and 50% of profit-sharing, or 10% of monthly income for long-term investors. We have two offices, both in Korea and in the United States, where the Korean office is mainly responsible for attracting customers, and the US office will oversee construction and property searches. We expect even more further growth in the coming years. Our plan is to expand the investment region beyond California and also expand our customer base globally. $2.5M / Seed / Mar 09, 2020

Founded by 2 Cal alumni and a member of the Berkeley SkyDeck's Fall '19 Cohort, Orbis AI helps individuals and enterprises create authentic and engaging video and audio contents at a lower cost and less time by providing a platform for real-time voice creation, replication, and conversion. We are a voice conversion and creation platformthat provides the perfect voice for people's content. From individual YouTubers and Podcasters to corporations looking to create engaging adverts and interactive products, anyone can easily utilize our voice conversion and replication services at the fraction of the cost and time spent on hiring voice actors. Furthermore, companies with an existing supply of voices can utilize us as a potential new channel of distribution and a source of revenue.Unlike simple TTS players who simply translate the written words, we can take the style of a person’s speech, including the tone and pitch, accent, and even verbal habits, and transplant them onto a new voice. This creates a much more emphatic and emotional delivery, leading to a content that is more authentic, relatable, and likeable. A content that is – human. $1.3M / Seed / Apr 24, 2018
