Pillsbury was a $6.8B company with leading retail and food service businesses in 25 countries; sold to General Mills in 2002 for $10.5B (12.2X EBITDA) .After Pillsbury was sold, Mr. Lilly “changed careers,” to work full time as an investor/adviser. Through his consultancy, John Lilly Strategic Insights, LLC, he has provided investment sourcing, due diligence, and operating counsel to Calera Capital, TPG Capital, Goldman Sachs PIA, Centerbridge Partners, and Equity Group Investments. As a FINRA registered representative, he also worked with clients of Lehman Brothers, Duff, and Phelps, Morgan Joseph TriArtisan, LLC all in New York. JLSI also provides strategic planning counsel using the Five Questions│One Page® and One Page Strategic Plan® processes developed with two former P&G colleagues.
