He earlier held the Chair in Swiss corporate law and a position as a co-founder and director of the Center of commercial, fiscal and innovation law (CCFI) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel (2006-2011). Professor Chenaux is the author of numerous conference talks and publications on corporate law (cf. http://www.carrard-associes.ch/team/avocats-associes/jlchenaux)).His activity as a practitioner in the field of law covers business and financial markets as well as M&A and corporate restructuring. He deals as well with judicial and arbitration litigation in commercial matters. He regularly provides consulting services for privately-held and listed companies and, during several years, chaired the Board of directors of an important hospital group.
