Jean-Luc Chenaux is a startup investor at VINCI CAPITAL. Born in 1960, Jean-Luc Chenaux holds a master (1982) and doctoral degree (1991) in legal studies from the University of Lausanne; he is an Associate Partner with Carrard & Associés, Attorneys-at-Law in Lausanne.In 2012, Jean-Luc Chenaux was appointed as an Associate Professor of the University of Lausanne. He teaches company law including inparticular the law of the Swiss corporation/LLC and cooperative law as well as corporate governance and business ethics. He directs the program on business law within the framework of the Master course in legal studies at HEC. He earlier held the Chair in Swiss corporate law and a position as a co-founder and director of the Center of commercial, fiscal and innovation law (CCFI) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel (2006-2011). Professor Chenaux is the author of numerous conference talks and publications on corporate law (cf. http://www.carrard-associes.ch/team/avocats-associes/jlchenaux)).His activity as a practitioner in the field of law covers business and financial markets as well as M&A and corporate restructuring. He deals as well with judicial and arbitration litigation in commercial matters. He regularly provides consulting services for privately-held and listed companies and, during several years, chaired the Board of directors of an important hospital group.
