During his career, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of CDP Equity S.p.A., board member of Fincantieri USA Inc., Vard Group AS, Vard Holdings Limited, Open Fiber S.p.A., and a member of the Italian Recovery Fund Investors Committee and of the Fondo Atlante Investors Committee. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Assonime, Board Member of the Centro Studi Americani, member of the Advisory Board of the Italian Presidency of B20, and is Co-Chairman of the Italy-China Business Forum. In 2014, Fabrizio Palermo joined Cassa Depositi e Prestiti as Chief Financial Officer, and in 2018, he was appointed CEO and General Manager, roles he held until May 2021, also serving as CEO of CDP Reti S.p.A. and Co‑Chair of the Italy‑China Business Forum. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Fabrizio Palermo was appointed CEO and General Manager of Acea S.p.A. in May 2023, where he had already held the position of Chief Executive Officer since September 2022. Since 2007, he has carried out academic activities at LUISS Guido Carli as Assistant Professor for the “Planning and Control” Course and subsequently as MBA Adjunct Professor for the “Corporate Finance” course. Fabrizio Palermo has been a Board Member of Assicurazioni Generali since April 24, 2025, where he also serves as Chairman of the Related-Party Transactions Committee.
