He has authored more than 60 patents and published 46 scientific papers on nanoscale electronics and materials with more than 11,000 citations (Scopus). In 2008, he co-authored a series of papers reporting the discovery of the fourth fundamental "memristor" circuit element. This work has led to new research and technology development worldwide in memristive materials and devices for computing memory and logic.Dr. Stewart holds a BASc in Engineering Physics from the University of Toronto and an MSc and PhD (1999) in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
