World View Enterprises World View Enterprises
At World View® Enterprises, Inc. we’re pioneering a new frontier at the edge of space. Our vision is to take Voyagers (be they private individuals or those traveling for research, educational or other scientific pursuits) on the journey of a lifetime. We provide a new perspective on the world we live in and open up new realms of possibility. With our proprietary high-altitude balloons, World View offers an accessible, affordable way to access nearspace. As a Voyager, you will enjoy a suborbital spaceflight unlike any other. Gently floating up into nearspace with World View, Voyagers now have the unique opportunity to experience what space philosopher and writer Frank White calls the “Overview Effect,” the unexpected emotional reaction and unparalleled perspective-shift that comes from seeing our planet suspended in space. For more than fifty years, astronauts have spoken poignantly of the life-changing shift that results from seeing the world with this unique vantage. National boundaries vanish, the conflicts that divide us seem to disappear and the need to protect what Carl Sagan called our “pale blue dot” becomes both obvious and imperative. These astronauts also tell us that the Overview makes the possibility of a more united, a more secure, a more protected world seem achievable, if only more people could have the experience. $26.5M / Series C / Mar 29, 2018
