He is a former President of Engineers Ireland and Chairman of the Irish Management Institute and has served on the boards of Trinity College Dublin and Science Foundation Ireland. He is also a former Chairman of UNICEF Ireland, the Irish Brain Research Foundation and the Community Foundation Of Ireland. He regularly serves on a number of award and competition panels.Chris has been an active Angel Investor over the past decade and is currently Chairman of Sophia Search and Gridstore as well as a board member and Advisor to the World Irish Project. Chris is also Chairman of The Science Gallery, a young adult outreach initiative. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science, both from Trinity College Dublin.
