Ali Kutay is a successful serial entrepreneur, executive and investor with 35 years of experience. Before founding Striim, Inc., Ali was the Chairman and CEO of GoldenGate Software, the leading infrastructure software company for high availability, that was acquired by Oracle. Previously, Ali was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AltoWeb,Inc., a provider of e-business infrastructure software. He was an angel investor, President and Chief Executive Officer of WebLogic, Inc., the company that pioneered the Application Server technology which became one of the major building blocks of web-enabled applications. WebLogic merged with BEA Systems, Inc. and was acquired by Oracle in 2007. He was the President and CEO of Formtek, one of the first enterprise infrastructure software firms, founded in 1984 as a Carnegie-Mellon University spin-off and was acquired by Lockheed Corporation in 1989. He ran Formtek as its CEO under Lockheed Martin for 7 years. He serves on the boards of public and private companies and advises startups. Ali completed his undergraduate and masters degrees at Middle East Technical University and his PhD work at Carnegie Mellon University.
