He lived 5 years in the Silicon Valley where he had the opportunity to invest and work with companies in the USA. Kum Tho was an Infantry officer in the Singapore Army and was responsible for marketing and promotions in support of recruitment while being an Honorary Aide-de-camp to the President concurrently.Kum Tho obtained his BBA (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and completed the Berkeley Executive Program at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. He is conversant in Chinese and Cantonese.
