As an InvestmentManager, he has invested an aggregate of €2.2 billion of equity on behalf of the funds advised by BC Partners in five companies, which he subsequently looked after and ultimately sold. Moreover he supported the successful raising of three BC Partners funds as an investment manager. In his role as investment manager at BC Partners, he dealt with all due diligence activities necessary in an acquisition process, the financing and tax structuring of such acquisitions as well as the negotiation of sale and purchase agreements and management participation programmes. He analyzed target companies across numerous sectors and on a global basis. After a due diligence phase, he was responsible for the companies acquired by the BC funds until these were sold. He was frequently in charge of dealing with financing topics, the supervision of the implementation of business plans, supporting add-on acquisitions, and the sale or listing of the respective portfolio companies. He was in charge of high yield bond placements of Grohe and Sanitec and the successful IPOs of Lecico and Brenntag. He serves as a Member of the Management Board at Bundesverband deutscher Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaften, where he specializes in group large buyout. Mr. Weinmann looks back onto almost 13 successful years, nine years of which as a Partner, with a private equity fund in Europe. Prior to that, he had already gained more than two years of experience in financing LBOs at the then German market leader. Mr. Weinmann was at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where he spent three years in the Structured Finance Group concentrating on acquisition financing for financial investors in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He started his professional career in Leveraged Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. During this period he structured the financings of acquisitions by financial investors in the mid cap segment and, in 1999, the public to private of Friedrich Grohe AG by funds advised by BC Partners. He was previously at Deutsche Bank and undertook a two years apprenticeship with a regional bank. He has been serving on the board of the German private equity and venture capital association (BVK) since 2011 and acts as the speaker of the Large Buyouts section of the organisation. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Brenntag AG from March 3, 2010 to June 22, 2011. Mr. Weinmann speaks German, English, and French. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Passau in 1997.
