She also consulted an education start-up based in Mumbai, where she helped identify opportunities in the education sector and narrow their strategic focus to professional training and pre-schools.Prior to joining Seedfund as a Principal, Tarana was Vice President, Investment Banking at Anand Rathi, a boutique financial services firm in Mumbai. At Anand Rathi, Tarana managed the financial sponsor clients and cross border client relationships.Tarana was, until recently active with Mumbai Angels, a forum of high net worth early-stage investors, where she was involved in screening and closing transactions giving her a understanding of early stage investments.She holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from LaSalle University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
