In 2011, Taimur led business development for Compute Services, and focused on growing EC2 adoption and revenue within strategic verticals and market segments including financial services, enterprises, gaming, life sciences, media & entertainment, and telecommunications. In 2014 Taimur took over all business development for the entire AWS Platform including new and emerging technologies like mobile (Lambda), IoT, Machine Learning, etc. Prior to AWS, Taimur led business development for Oracle Platform Products within Aerospace & Defense, Life Sciences, and Pharma. He held several product management and engineering roles at Oracle and Siebel Systems prior to that.Taimur is from Austin, TX, and currently lives in Bellevue, WA with his wife (Fatima), and his three boys (Isa, Hassan, Ismaeel).
