In 2008, he was nominated as region’s top CEO and received the Asia Viewer’s Choice Award by CNBC Asia Pacific (the 7th CNBC Asia Business Leaders Awards). In 2011, he was presented with the Visionary Innovation Entrepreneur Award by Ernst & Young for being an outstanding entrepreneur who inspires others with his vision, leadership and achievement. In 2013, he received the National Distinguished Accomplishment Award in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the industry and to the country. In 2020, Industrial Technology Research Institute reconized Simon as ITRI Laureate.
