In 2010 Simon founded The Sandpit; an exciting new business proposition aimed at finding, funding and commercialising great technology products, specifically in the digital marketing space. Based in Barcelona for 8 years, Simon founded and launched successful companies into the IT, advertising, publishing and fashion sectors in both Spain and the UK, before moving back to London and into the postal sector where he was responsible for launching ViaPost from concept through to revenue-generating growth stage, including raising a total of £2M in funding through the toughest markets of 2007-2009 before handing over the reins to Manchester-based majority owners in 2010. His key skills are based in fundraising, sales, marketing, commercial and strategic business development.The Sandpit to date has taken on board 5 businesses and launched a sister company Sandpit Lab with now operations in the UK (London), the US (New York) and Central America (San Jose, Costa Rica).Specialties: Entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, strategic alliances, brainstorming, product and brand development, ideas, deal-making, increasing revenue and developing new business areas.
