He is also a member of the editorial committee for Japan Marketing Association.As a speaker, panelist, moderator, and contest judge, Dr. Honjo is often invited to major events such as New Economy Summit, Slush Asia, ad tech Tokyo, Nikkei, Kyoto University, Infinity Ventures Summit, B Dash Camp, and G1 Summit.Dr. Honjo authored a number of books and articles. He introduced Tony Hsieh’s “Delivering Happiness” to Japan.Dr. Honjo was born and raised in Japan. He has extensive consulting experiences with Boston Consulting Group in Tokyo and Computer Sciences Corporation in California. After BCG and CSC, he was Assistant to Chairman and Group Strategy Manager of CSK/SEGA Group, a leader in enterprise IT solutions and digital entertainment in Japan. In 1999, he founded and represented the Tokyo office of General Atlantic LLC, an IT-focused growth equity firm. Since he left Lehman Brothers Japan as SVP for principal investment in 2008, Dr. Honjo has been Managing Director, Honjo International.Dr. Honjo has Ph.D. in International Studies from Waseda University, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. from the University of Tokyo.
