He has consulted with numerous clients including American Express, Bank of New York Mellon, Boeing, BP, CBS, Cisco, Darden Restaurants, Gap, Harvard Business School, HP, Intel, Kraft, MetLife, Microsoft, Time Warner and The U.S. Navy.Prior to founding IED, Scott was the Director of Global Marketing for Siebel Systems Employee Relationship Management Business Unit responsible for the division’s training & development and prior to that role was the Director of Product Management and Development of all E-Learning and collaboration products. Earlier in his career, Scott worked at Microsoft Corporation in product management and business management roles.Scott graduated from Harvard University with a Masters in Business Administration and from Northwestern University with a Bachelors degree in Economics. He is also a graduate of The Center for Creative Leadership’s program on Developing Successful Executives, and is certified in a variety of management development tools. He is a former leader of the Bay Area Executive Development Network and member of The Harvard Business School Bay Area Alumni Association of Northern California.Scott has authored over 25 articles and in-depth research reports on the field of executive development for publications such as Forbes, Directorship, CLO Magazine, and Strategic HR Review and Scott has been interviewed by and quoted in Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Business 2.0, Workforce, and Globe & Mail (Canada). He has previously served on the Editorial Board for The Academy of Management’s Learning & Education Journal. A frequent speaker on issues relating to executive development, Scott has presented many times at The Global Forum on Executive Development and The Chief Learning Officer Symposium among other events.Scott resides in Palo Alto, CA with his family. He is active with the local community serving as a board member for Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship, a non-profit organization in San Francisco and as a Director of The Sunshine Foundation in Chicago.
