Pia Sawhney is a serial media entrepreneur, former investment banker and biologist. She has helped direct ASV’s operations since its inception and actively advises the ASV team and portfolio companies on fundraising, hiring and developing new businesses. In her previous career as a journalist, Pia's films and media projects were featuredand/or published in the New York Times, Variety, the Washington Post and the Huffington Post, and distributed to university libraries nationwide including at Bowdoin College, Stanford, Princeton and Northwestern. She has worked with PBS FRONTLINE, the Los Angeles Times, Radio Free Europe, Voice of America and other outlets. Her films have screened at a range of prestigious festivals at home and abroad. Pia began her career in finance at JP Morgan Chase in 1999. She serves on the boards of two nonprofit organizations in New York and Vermont.
