Earlier ventures include the formation of Langdale Group Plc which sold for £29m in 1989 to Scottish & Newcastle. He set up nightclub company Luminar, which completed a successful IPO in 1998, food/pub chain Countrystyle Inns which sold in 1995 for an IRRof 35% and a Venture Capital Fund with Lazard Ventures. In 2000 Peter founded Golden Tulip Hotels, a budget hotel group, sold to Whitbread in 2008. In 2015 Peter was named a winner in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards and overall winner for the North of England.Peter is now involved with helping young entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.
