Paolo joined Pilkington in 1996, serving as Chief Executive Officer until 2002, then became Chief Executive Officer of Enel, Italy’s leading electricity utility, until 2005. Paolo is a Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at London Stock Exchange Group. Paolo was a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Assicurazioni Generali and Veolia Environnement. Paolo serves on the board of the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala. In June 2013, Paolo was made a commandeur of the French Légion d’honneur.
