Students then undertake a major area of study, which could be chosen from some of the following: * Art History * Film and Video Production * Physics * Religious StudiesAdditional Interdivisional majors allow students to focus on a topic from the perspective of different disciplines.Graduate degrees also feature Interdisciplinary studies, such as the MFA, which combines such artistic disciplines as: * Music * Painting * Photography * WritingCivic involvement is a large part of the Bard experience, and includes student internships and community involvement in a variety of capacities.Bard’s college life features a strong creative arts component. Bard’s Performing Arts Center, for example, attracts world-class dance, music and theatre performers and attracts audiences from throughout the greater Hudson Valley region.Undergraduate admissions takes various factors into account, including GPA (usually 3.5 or higher), high school courses taken, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities and the admissions essay. SAT scores are optional.Bard has a number of financial aid options. Students in the music and science programs may apply for a full tuition scholarship, which covers all four years of school.
