Mr. Chung served as President of Hyundai Wia. He led Hyundai auto parts subsidiaries such as Powertec, Wia, Wisco and Metia. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Kia Motors Slovakia, s.r.o. Mr. Chung started to work for HyundaiGroup in 1978 working for the Procurement department. Before he joined Kia Motors Slovakia, he had been in charge of the vehicle parts procurement. During his career with Hyundai, he also gained experience in overseas operations such as the Hyundai plant in Canada and Indonesia project. In 2005, he became the Head of the Purchasing and Procurement Group at Kia Motors Slovakia. Together with his colleagues he participated in establishment of the first Kia production facility in Europe. Mr. Chung studied at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea, and successfully graduated in the field of metallurgical engineering in 1976.
