MW EAGLEWOOD is a VC fund in London focused on Internet and Banking. MW Eaglewood Americas LLC (“MWEA”) was founded in 2011 and has been at the forefront of developments in the emerging online direct lending space, including the first securitization of peer-to-peer consumer loans. MWEA received the 2014 LendIt Innovator of the Year Award*, in recognition of its contribution to the growth of this asset class. MWEaglewood Europe LLP (“MWEE”) was incubated out of the London-based investment bank Liberum Capital before being acquired by Marshall Wace in 2013. It is the advisor to a LSE-listed investment trust that focuses on P2P loans. MWEE was awarded the 2015 Financial News Editor’s Choice Award* and the 2015 What Investment Best New Launch Award*, acknowledging its role in bringing this new asset class to Europe.
