Mårten has 20 years of financial industry experience ranging from direct equity and debt investment to risk and investment management. Mårten has experience working in very large financial institutions and consulting businesses as well as entrepreneurial environments. Mårten joined Kreos in2000 and has built a strong presence for Kreos as the market-leader in the Nordic region. Mårten has also executed a number of transactions in the UK, Ireland and Germany and supports the portfolio throughout Europe as well as plays a key role in the management and execution of Kreos's overall strategy. Mårten previously worked for a number of years as a Director at UBS Warburg's investment banking arm, where he was responsible for equity research in the Nordic region. Mårten's coverage ranged from large companies, like Ericsson and Nokia, to smaller high growth companies - in total representing about one third of the listed Nordic market cap during this period. Mårten was ranked first in Reuters 1999 European SmallCap survey and the UBS Warburg's global sector teams in his industry sectors were continuously top ranked. Prior to UBS, Mårten was a Management Consultant at Ernst & Young International in the Nordic region, where he worked with large multi-national corporate clients, advising on interest and currency risk management, asset and liability management, fund management and cash management as well as investor relations. Mårten had also previously started up an investment company and worked on the Board level of several Swedish companies. During his business school studies, Mårten also worked at Cologne Re (General Re), where he was responsible for accounting of the Nordic re-insurance sales company. Mårten holds an M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in (i) Finance and (ii) Financial Control & Planning.
