Kassam is also the lead fundraiser for the Lifeline Syria Challenge at Ryerson University. The foundation also made a generous donation to the Michael Garron Hospital, which used the funding to build the Moez & Marissa Kassam Food Court, which helps nourish a growing community of underserved patients, medical staff, and frontline workers. In fact, Kassam has a deep passion for food and cooking. When he’s not hosting dinner parties for family and friends, Kassam moonlights as the Chief Food Office of Dîner en Blanc, an international dining club. He’s also a sitting judge for Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants and the co-creator of Assembly Chef’s Hall, one of Toronto’s best-known food halls. Kassam has also donated to the University of Toronto.
